• Some of our Congress members are the country’s most successful stock traders, and it’s no surprise why. What they are doing is insider trading. They are trading on information that has not been released to the public and that’s illegal. Our legislators, the President, his family and all his cabinet should be tightly regulated in how they can trade stock and invest in companies. It’s just common sense. The first bill that I will cosign/introduce to congress will make it illegal for members of the house, senate, cabinet members, the President and their first family.

  • We must finally separate health insurance from employment and expand Medicare. This won’t just help the most vulnerable but will also help small business owners by not requiring them to subsidize the workers’ insurance themselves. The second bill I will cosign/introduce will lower eligibility from 65 to 50.

  • Where do I even begin? Have you ever seen the chart of the 10 companies that own all the brands you shop every day? You are given an illusion of choice while the 10 companies at the top siphon all the money. I will break up conglomerates by passing legislation that limits the amount of companies that one mega-corporation can own.

  • America is the richest nation in the world, but its taxes are disproportionately paid for by its poorest residents. Thanks to a tax code that favors income from capital over income from labor, meaning that the rich don’t pay their fair share!

If you’re making less than $100,000 you shouldn’t be paying income tax, Its that simple.

  • My father was a veteran of the Navy and I remember the difficulty he had booking a specialist or getting his disability approved through the VA. It wasn’t because they didn’t want to help, it was because they were underfunded and understaffed. But It’s not just our veterans that need our support. Many of our active duty military and their families live in subpar housing and require federal assistance to get by and that just doesn’t feel right. I will always fight to improve the services of our veterans and troops.

  • The overturning of Roe v Wade was a huge politically radicalizing moment for me. The government should never have a say in what a licensed physician and patient decide is the best medical treatment for oneself. Including but not limited to, abortions, voluntary sterilization, cosmetic surgery and any gender-affirming care.

  • California was making good work of the federal green energy tax credit by expanding solar and wind energy, but Trump and the Republicans have cut the funding. Unfortunately, that is putting a lot of hard working Americans out of a good job. We need to expand the tax credits and give incentives to manufacturers to produce the panels right here in California. But we can’t stop there. We need to build America’s infrastructure back up and build back America.

  • Gun violence in this country is out of control. Children and parents shouldn’t be wondering if today is the day that the unspeakable could happen, but that is the reality that we live in now. But it doesn’t mean that is the way things need to be and that starts with reasonable and effective gun control.
